Frequently Asked Questions
Will my insurance cover therapy sessions?
Many insurance plans offer benefits that cover therapy, making it easier to get the support that you deserve. At Seaside, Gail Gerbig is IN NETWORK with 30+ insurance providers including: Aetna, Ambetter, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Florida Blue, Cigna, Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, Optum, and United Healthcare.
What if Seaside is not in my network?
Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which allow you to submit a claim for a portion of the cost. I can provide a superbill to assist with your reimbursement.
I don’t want to use my insurance. Can I pay privately?
Yes! For those who prefer not to use insurance, I offer therapy services at $150 per session.
What can I expect during the first session?
Our first session at Seaside is designed to be a collaborative introduction to your journey towards emotional wellness. Consider it a safe space to share your story and explore your goals for therapy. Sessions will likely last around 50 minutes and are typically scheduled weekly or on a bi-weekly basis.
What types of therapy do you offer?
At Seaside, I offer a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness practices. Healing is a personal journey, and I tailor each therapy session to fit your needs and preferences.
What days and times are you available?
At Seaside, therapy sessions are available throughout the week starting as early as 7am and as late as 5pm. If you have a preferred day and time that works best with your schedule, I recommend booking 1-2 sessions in advance to ensure that it will be available for you.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
If you need to reschedule or cancel, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid any cancellation fees. My goal is to make sure you get the support you need, and I’m happy to work with you to find another time that fits your schedule.
What should I do if I am in crisis?
If you’re in crisis or need immediate support, I encourage you to contact the crisis hotline (988) or 1-800-273-8255. You can also go to the nearest emergency room.
